We live in a walkable(ish) neighborhood, and I regularly run and occasionally bike around, fostering a much stronger connection than if we drove everywhere. We're about a mile from the train into NYC, which isn't the necessity it used to be but still nice to have. With all that, nothing beats driving the Corvair (automatic, but still tactile in all the other good, old car ways), even with the pang of guilt that comes with it now and then. I do look forward to EVs taking over, though, and more importantly, being able to afford one!
Thanks for the shout-out!
